FASHION CORNER: Most Beautiful Wedding Gowns of all Times

1. GRACE KELLY'S WEDDING

Grace Patricia Kelly (November 12, 1929 – September 14, 1982) was an American actress who, in April 1956, married Rainier III, Prince of Monaco, to become Princess consort of Monaco, styled as Her Serene Highness The Princess of Monaco, and commonly referred to as Princess Grace. Kelly's wedding dress, designed by MGM's Academy Award–winning Helen Rose, was worked on for six weeks by three dozen seamstresses. The bridesmaid's gowns were designed by Joe Allen Hong at Neiman Marcus after Lawrence Marcus visited Monaco. Her dress has become one of the most commonly mentioned wedding dress of all times to date.
One of my favorite things about this dress is the back. Helen Rose believed that the back of a wedding dress should be as interesting as the front; after all, the bride will spend most of the service with her back to her guests. The way the skirt pleats around the body and the train insert peeks out from underneath is not only elegant, it's quite unique among wedding dress designs. And the length is just right for the scale of the dress; it doesn't need to rely on a train of mammoth length to set it apart.

2. IVANKA TRUMP'S WEDDING

Following their 3-month engagement, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner tied the knot on Sunday October 25, 2009 at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J. The couple exchanged vows in front of 500 guests, before partying the night away at a reception designed by planner-to-the-stars, Preston Bailey. Kate Middleton picked a breathtaking Alexander McQueen gown for her royal wedding dress. Kate, who is now Princess Catherine — or Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge — arrived at Westminster Abbey and walked down the aisle to meet her groom, Prince William. The gorgeous bride stunned in an English and French Chantilly lace gown designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. She wore ivory duchesse satin shoes that were also handmade by the team at McQueen. Kate accessorized the custom look with a silk tulle veil and a Cartiertiara, which was lent to Kate by the queen. The bride wore diamond earrings, a gift from her parents, by Robinson Pelham, which were inspired by the Middleton family's new coat of arms. She carried a bouquet of myrtle, lily of the valley, sweet william, and hyacinth, all of which hold significance to the royal family and the Middleton family.

Prince Nikolaos of Greece and Denmark, the second son of the exiled King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, married his longtime girlfriend Tatiana Blatnik  at the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas on the Greek island of Spetses. The members of the Greek royal family descend from George I of Greece, a son of Christian IX of Denmark, and are therefore styled as princes and princesses of Greece and Denmark. Through her marriage Tatiana became Princess Nikolaos of Greece and Denmark, not Princess Tatiana; like the British royals, women marrying into the Greek royal family do not become princesses in their own right.
